"Just spent 4 days private tuition here and it was awesome. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, and my tutor, Tessa, was amazing. You get to have a go at all the skills you need to make shoes and it is practical from the moment you arrive. I made two awesome pairs of shoes in the four days I was there. The school is located quite close to Bethnal Green Tube station, and is in one of those creative co-working type places which is cool and inspiring. I’d recommend anyone - guys as well as women - do one of the courses as it’s an amazing feeling to answer the question ”cool shoes, where did you buy them” with ”I made them myself”!"

"I had the most wonderful three day trip to London and spend time with Amanda from I can make shoes. It’s always been my life dream to make a pair of shoes, and I was so delighted when I could make a pair of shoes to fit my feet, and for them to be made by hand. As a Podiatrist, I’m always curious about footwear and how they are made and structured so this three day course was a total blast. I can highly recommend this course Amanda was amazing and it was so organised and with hands on support I really got the know the process and totally want to make another pair. I am definitely going to enrol on her online course (when I have time) Fear not- I’m not going to starting my own shoe line!"

"My first pair of shoes came out better than I could have imagined! A mule is my favorite casual shoe so I knew I was starting there. My ultimate shoe making goal is to be able to make a pair of lavender mid-heeled boots (which don’t exist in my size). I know that’ll take a bit more practice and a totally different last shape, but after this success I know I can get there!"

"I started my first pair of boots (and second ever pair of shoes!) over a year ago, and finally made time to finish them! I used scalloped scissors on the edges, which was a challenge in this thick ish leather. Overall very pleased with them! I do wish I'd done a heel piece to match the toe cap."

"Finished my first pair of cowboy boots! Using the @icanmake_shoes pull up boot tutorial. They didn't quite go to plan and I almost gave up. But I thought I might as well finish so I learn the whole process. And I'm glad I did, as whilst they're not perfect they're very wearable and quite fun!"

"Here are my first pair of proper lace up boots! I found this beetle fabric years ago and have been dying to use it for some boots, these were quite the challenge, especially having to be so careful with glue soaking right through the fabric, but I'm so glad I stuck with them, and for someone who has wide feet it's so cool to have shoes that actually fit me!"
