Bag Pattern + eBook - Mini Box Bag

OMG it's free?! This bag project is the perfect entry point for beginner bag-makers - it's also a great pattern for those already experienced in bagmaking 😉

The Mini Box Bag comes together super quickly (approx. 1 day) and is completely hand-stitched 🌟

I recommend using a stiff tempered Cowhide Leather 1 - 1.2mm thick for the main bag.
I recommend using a softer Cowhide Leather for the lining 0.05 - 0.08mm thick - I like THIS ONE

Rough Size Required for main body of bag = 30cm x 50cm
Rough Size Required for lining of bag = 30cm x 50cm

Note on materials - If you decide to make this bag using a softer leather, it won't have the same structured look at the end. If you just love the colour though, you can totally use a thin reinforcement like THIS one, on the back to give it more structure.

You will also need:

Hardware:
• Twist lock fastening
• Chain for strap - Approx 110cm long
• Large eyelets for the sides of the bag (optional)
• Chain ends for securing the chain to the inside of the bag (optional)

Tools & Supplies:
• Sharp knife or Scissors
• Pricking Irons in size 3.38mm
• Mallet - I like THIS ONE & Punching block
(or use a hammer and cutting mat)
• 2 x hand stitching needles (I like Prym No.3)
• 0.45mm thick Waxed Polyester thread
• Waterbased leather glue and spatula - I like THIS ONE
(can use solvent-based glue if you prefer)
