This cork is perfect to use as a cork filler to create a flat surface before you attach your soles to the base of your shoes.

It skives super smoothly with a fresh blade and is lovely to sand down with a one of our trusty sandpaper files.

I also love to use this cork to build up shoemaking lasts to accommodate a wide fit.

If you're planning on building up lasts for the first time, you may want to get our wide fit kit.

What can I make with this?

Use cork as a filler material during sole construction to level out the underside of the shoe before attaching the outsole. It can also help create a smoother transition between the insole and sole.

Please note:

Cork filler is not required for every shoe construction, but is useful when you need to fill gaps and create a flat surface before soling. Leather, foam or felt can also be used as alternatives.
