Cipasol 2603STH solvent-based contact adhesive (125ml)

We use this solvent-based glue for attaching soles and randing.

We also recommend this glue when working with faux leathers, fabric, rubber and resin.

This glue is toxic so we recommend working in a well ventilated area when using it.

How to use:

  • This glue, similar to our water-based glue, is a contact adhesive. This means that both surfaces you'd like to glue together need to have glue applied to them.

  • Using a spatula or brush, apply a thin layer of glue on both surfaces. Let dry for at least 10-15 minutes.

  • If you've let your glue set for a few hours or overnight, it's best to reactivate it by applying a bit of heat with a heat gun.

  • Stick your pieces together and voila!

What can I make with this?

You can use this glue for the stronger bonds needed during key stages of shoemaking, particularly when attaching your soles and randing. It's also the glue to reach for when you're working with materials such as faux leather, fabric, rubber and resin, making it an essential part of your shoemaking kit alongside the water-based glue.

Please note:

This is a solvent-based contact adhesive, so both surfaces need to be coated with glue before joining. Allow the glue to dry for at least 10-15 minutes before bringing the surfaces together. If the glue has been left for several hours or overnight, you can reactivate it with gentle heat from a heat gun. This glue is toxic, so always work in a well-ventilated area.
