Cipaqua 3231 water-based leather contact adhesive (200g).

We use this glue for 90% of the shoemaking process. It is a vegan, non-toxic and works best with leather.

*You will need to use a different glue for the following:
For gluing faux leather, fabric, rubber and resin you will need to use a solvent-based shoemaking glue.
For attaching soles and randing (regardless of their material) you will need to use a solvent-based shoemaking glue.

 

How to use:

    • This glue, similar to our solvent-based glue, is a contact adhesive. This means that both surfaces you'd like to glue together need to have glue applied to them. 

    • Using a spatula, apply a thin layer of glue on both surfaces. Let dry for at least 5-10 minutes.


  • Once the glue is tacky to the touch, stick your pieces together! :)

What can I make with this?

You can use this glue for most of the construction stages when making your own shoes! It's the go-to adhesive for working with leather and can be used throughout the shoemaking process to help build your uppers, secure components and assemble the different layers of your shoe. In fact, this is the glue we use for around 90% of the shoemaking process.

Please note:

This is a vegan, non-toxic, water-based contact adhesive that works best with leather. For gluing faux leather, fabric, rubber or resin, and for attaching your soles or randing, you'll need to use our solvent-based shoemaking glue instead. Both surfaces need to be coated with glue and left to dry for around 5-10 minutes until tacky before joining them.
